If the VTEC valve fails, it will cause the engine intake timing system to be aerodynamic at the wrong time, which will cause engine failure for a long time, leading to increased fuel consumption, carbon deposits and other long-term failures. When you meet Check Engine Light comes on; Engine oil is dirty; Rough engine idle; Decrease in fuel economy, Poor idle at low RPM; Clear up CEL P2647, VSA system malfunction message at high RPM; Engine whine at idle, you need to replace it in time.
Variable Valve Timing & Lift Electronic Control(VTEC) is a system developed to improve the volumetric efficiency. VTEC Solenoid is used to control the operation logic of the VETC system. VTEC is an electronic and mechanical system in some Honda engines that allows the engine to effectively have multiple camshafts. As the engine moves into different rpm ranges, the engine's computer can activate alternate lobes on the camshaft and change the cam's timing.

I installed on my 2007 Honda Odyssey. Instantly I had a VSA alarm and the engine ran poorly. While troubleshooting I found the spool valve had a bad sensor on it. When swapping with the old sensor, the alarm went away and the van ran smoothly. The new valve did not leak which was the main reason I replaced the old valve.

A previous Ebay purchase of this type of valve, supposedly original, did not work. This one is fine.
