The stretcher bars are made of first quality precision-cut kiln dried Pine Wood.
Double in depth and strength. Ideal for gallery stretching.
The bars have a beveled edge for minimal canvas contact.
When the artwork is hung frameless- these are the best bars to use for a clean modern Gallery Stretching \ Museum Stretching finish.
We recommend use of our cross braces (middle bars) for strips over 30", to maintain frame strength.
Corner braces are recommended for added stability when stretching sizes 36x48 and larger.

It's sturdy wood and came packaged well. It is on the pricy side, but if I went to a local art store that sold them, I would probably be charged more since I needed 50x50 and 48x48.

I ordered two bars this length. One was fine and matched the shorter bars. One was cut wrong with a razor sharp edge instead of rounded and incorrect thickness. I would order something else.

The thickness was under 1.5-inches. The pieces were not cut properly. Flimsy product for the price. The short one had a tenon that was cracked.
