I like camping with my family. Weight is ideal, and steel quality is as good as sharpness. It splits the woods very well, and head looseness is stable.

I recently got into ax throwing, and axes in general. This one is right on par with the others I've bought from this brand. It's extremely high quality materials. I especially like the handle. The ax head stays on tight, and it came relatively sharp from the factory. It's always recommended to sharpen an ax after purchase. The sheath is a nice addition that most others don't come with. It is very well balanced, but I wield it in hand chopping kindling. i recommend soaking it in linseed oil, and it should last a lifetime.

What an awesome axe! was the first comment out of my son's mouth. He loves axe throwing and feels that this particular axe is far above the usual quality and weight he was accustom to using. Everything about it is well made. He loves the grip of the handle and the protective cover for the head. It is a great value for the money.

I like this one. I'ts very simple but very well made overall. My biggest initial issue was that it looked like the way the axe head was made had created a crack in the product which they then covered with the black rhino line covering they did for the black part of the axe. I was wrong though it appears it was just a roll off on the finish of the rhino line. The axe itself is well balanced, feels good in the hand when thrown. The handle is a little slick but thats how I like it so it'll glide out of my hand and not get caught up. It's got good weight too. One complaint would be mine came really dull, blunted almost, but you just need good edge geometry to stick and this one does have that. The blade cover is a nice touch and I wish all the axe companies would include one this nice.Overall I think it's great!

The axe is well balanced. I love the feel of the straight grain hickory handle. I love the finish touch of the brass shell case in the wedge. The sheath is decent quality and also a nice touch. I’m slightly disappointed by the finish of the head, but on the other hand, it’s an axe and I would expect that finish to look worn in a short time anyway. For the purpose of an inexpensive throwing axe, this does the job and is good value for the money.

Nothing ground breaking here, it’s an axe that’s probably not any better than one you would buy at the local hardware store for less money. The blade is really dull and will require sharpening which is unacceptable. There is bare and splintered/chipped wood showing at the bottom where the blade was pressed on the handle. A poor attempt at staining that area was done and you can see the shininess and layering of the stain in that area. Overall the stain and finish on the handle is poorly done too. Very uneven and splotchy. The sheath is built well and the axe fits tight inside and would be difficult to remove if worn on the belt loop. The belt loops also seem to be for a left handed wearer. Just seems like $25 is too much for the quality of this axe.
