I got this to use in my TV stand cabinet as I attempt to transform it away from "farmhouse" style. I intend to remove the barn style inset in the doors and replace it with this black webbing while painting the wood black to match. I've only cut the webbing to size so far, as it needs time to lie flat before I staple it in. Being plastic, cutting it causes fraying on the cut ends, i.e, loose pieces, so just be sure to take it into consideration when cutting so you don't create waste or it could be a lesser value. The webbing itself is easy to cut with good scissors and I'm hoping it serves well once I'm able to continue this project. It may be a bit more see-through than expected. I'll reassess the visibility of items behind it once added to see if I need another layer or thin luan to block out light, but currently looks like it may work since the cabinet inside is dark without backlight. It cost slightly more than I wanted to pay but still cheaper than replacing the whole unit. Also, being plastic, it doesn't look as authentic as cane, but works for my use.

I used this product to refinish an old product. It was super easy to use and looks just like the product description.

Very durable webbing. Used it for the wine cabinet door and works really well. Easy to cut and staple to wooden door.

I really like this cane webbing in black! It has a nice contrast if your working with natural wood colors. Redoing a mid-century cane back chair would look so beautiful using black instead of the natural cane rattan it came with. This could also be used in place of the glass in doors on a hutch. Outside of practical applications this would also make a lovely accent cover in many areas. It adheres nicely with strong glue. I can’t wait to get creative with this!

Used this for a simple DIY project. First, I removed the glass from this cabinet and stapled the caning. Before stapling it to the cabinet, there was simply no way to make the weave straight. At that point, I had already cut it in half and knew I would not be able to return it so I just kept it as is. It would have been perfect if it were straight. Possible defect?

I am a bit confused by this product because it claims to be natural rattan webbing but it feels like is is made of 100% plastic. That, and the fact that it does not need to be soaked before use makes me think it really isn't natural rattan material. Even so, I actually like this product.Pros: It really didn't need any prep before use. It cuts easily, is smooth to the touch, and there is no major loss from it unraveling at the cut edges.Cons: I'm still not entirely sure what it is made out of, except for my guess of it being plastic?Overall: It's nice and elevated my project. I would recommend.
