I just got busy with outside trimming of the flower bed and of course tree twigs that fell off a tree during the storms. What I like about these is the size of the handles. This size gives you good control for bending and chopping the twigs. When you keep a smaller handle, you are closer to the blade, thus giving more strength to the cutting. The trimmer is bright green color, easy to spot for locating it. The non-slip grasp makes it easy to hold onto.Sharp! Nice to use!

I appreciate the long length of the handles, wide bite, light weight, and hand holds that grip well without using natural rubber. The mechanism works ok and the blades are sharp, at least now while it is new. It looks reasonably well constructed. However, it lacks some simple features that would have made it a decent set of loppers instead of nothing special. The first important feature it lacks is any kind of shock absorber. The handles have two pieces of metal that just bump into each other to stop the closing action at the end of the bite. This sharp bump reverberates up the handles and is hard on the wrists after a short time. Some silicone or neoprene caps on the bumpers would have fixed this. The second important feature it lacks is any kind of gripper on the bottom blade. Thus, branches tend to slip out of the blades as you close them, especially if you are working on a larger branch, increasing the effort required for the task. This could have been fixed by placing a tooth at the end of the lower blade, or by having ridges on the lower blade. So, in summary, this is a serviceable set of garden loppers, but not great because they overlooked some obvious design features.

This branch cutter is good quality. It looks durable. It is good for tree trimming and cutting branches of the trees. The handles are comfortable to hold. The blades are made up of SK5 carbon steel, which are really sharp. This cutter is suitable for cutting large or small shrubs and plants. It is a must have tool for yard maintenance.

These cutters are great! I have Chinese privet EVERYWHERE, and I'm doing my best to keep it under control and take back some of the growing areas. I use these to cut the privet branches before painting on full strength brush killer. Sharp, easy to cut.

These work surprisingly well with really thick branches and make work easier than I anticipated. Actually made it an enjoyable experience. They are very good quality but somehow it feels like it needs good care in order to last long. Can't explain it really other than it has a cheap feel to it but outperforms. It is really an outstanding tool and I love it for making my work easy out in my jungle yard.

I picked these up for the obligatory upkeep in the yard that comes with the joys of home ownership. I have a few trees that require annual trimming, but mostly these are for cutting off the dead fronds on the truly evil clusters of date palms I have in front of the house. I can't stand cutting those things, especially because I've always done it with a pair of pruning shears and a constant grimace of pain. For those not in the know, these plants have unbelievably sharp spines that protrude like death needles created in the lowest circles of Dante's favorite locale. It wasn't until after a few years of trimming these things that my mother-in-law rolled her eyes and told me she uses loppers such as these to keep clear of these furious fauna. What a concept.Anyway, these arrived in the mail, I opened/closed them a few times to get the feel, and of course had to immediately dip into the backyard to put them to work. I've gotta say, these work exactly as advertised. They're solidly built without being heavy, and the blades are sharper than I'd expected. I didn't know of I'd need to first hone or run a stone over them, but the blades just seemed to scoff at the idea. If I'd run my thumb down the edge, I'd have had a cut for the ages. I started with some small palm fronds (the pretty, innocent type), and they went through them like they weren't there. I then moved to the loquat tree in the back, and they had no problem snipping branches up to 3/4in. Well, of course this wasn't a sufficient test, so I moved on to another that had about a 2in branch that needed to be removed. The result was basically what I expected. The blades had no issue, but get the torque on the handles when spread that far apart is a bit more difficult. Once I adjusted my grip and how I held them, though, the loppers took it right down.Overall, these loppers completely fit the bill. They're sharp, well built, and the handles are comfortable. There are no bells and whistles, just good ol' cutting capability. I have to say, I'm quite satisfied and glad I finally got a pair to deal with the dreaded date palms in front of the house. Their next trim will definitely be a great deal less painless.
