Common Turbo Faults: If you're worried about a problem with your turbocharger, be sure to have it checked. Driving with a damaged turbine can damage your engine and be dangerous. Listed below are some common warning signs: 1. Engine noise 2. Exhaust smoke and/or increased fuel consumption 3. Engine warning light 4. Many turbocharged vehicles are equipped with a boost gauge that can measure the amount of boost produced by the turbo Amount of boost. If this gauge does not rise properly, there may be a problem with your turbo.
Turbocharger Installation: Recommended to have it installed by a professional. 1. Change the engine oil; 2. Replace the air filter and oil filter; 3. Thoroughly clean the oil inlet and oil discharge lines to ensure no damage and unrestricted oil flow; 4. Check the intake and exhaust pipes Road, and make sure no blocks or disturbances are allowed; 5. Tighten the screws and clamps to ensure there is no air leakage; 6. When installing the oil inlet and outlet holes, sealant cannot be used, only gaskets can be used.

Steps to install Turbocharger:

1. Begin turbine installation by removing old gasket material from the exhaust manifold and pipes. The flange surface must be clean and undamaged. Remove any plastic or foam plugs from the turbo.

2. Position the turbine onto the manifold or engine block using the correct new gasket or O-ring, then reattach the exhaust pipe, tightening all nuts and bolts to the correct torque, paying special attention to the oil supply and drain lines.

3. Make sure there is no internal collapse of the flexible hose lining, and the oil supply line is not too close to any heat source, otherwise, the inside of the oil supply line may be damaged. This is common on some vehicles and can be difficult to detect without cutting the pipe! We recommend installing a new oil inlet pipe when installing a new turbine.

4. Install the oil drain pipe to the turbocharger, then pour the new oil into the oil inlet hole of the turbocharger and install the oil inlet pipe. Turn the compressor impeller by hand a few times. Please note that it is normal to feel some up-and-down movement in the wheels. Install the intake and exhaust pipes to the turbocharger compressor housing, making sure the connections are sealed.

Test after Installation

1. Please crank the engine for 10 – 15 seconds without starting the engine to fill the oil.

2. Start the engine and let it idle for 3 to 4 minutes to properly check for oil, gas and air leaks. If leaks are found during engine starting, please solve the problem immediately.

3. During turning on and starting the vehicle, the actuator, blade arm and blade mechanism of the turbocharger move, and it is normal to hear sharp noises from the electric actuator.
