Just bought this product (ford timing kit), and the 1st time we used it, the part that holds the flywheel in place, failed and we were unable to use it. Hoping this was just a product defect

A a professional automotive technician, I appreciate quality tools at reasonable prices. Vehicles repair is becoming more difficult as of late because of all the specialty tools required to do what used to be simple repairs. The aftermarket is finally able to offer these type of tools for reasonable prices which means I can afford to own the necessary equipment to do my job correctly and timely.This engine timing tool set is a necessity for servicing timing chains and some related repairs on multiple Ford engines. This set comes in a plastic case to keep everything together and organized. All of the pieces appear to be manufactured of good quality materials and the fit/finish is nice. I have used a majority of the pieces in this kit and they seem to perform as well as other kits I've used in the past.This tool is worthy of 5 stars for quality and value.

Everything worked as expected. The alignment plate isn't as sturdy as the rest of the kit but I had no problems with it. The case was nice.
