Unfortunately I have to return this handle.They have simply removed far to much material to fill the eye on my axe head. The cut is not straight, and the grain structure leaves a bit to be desired.Perhaps if the seller would provide better pictures and specifications this wouldn't be an issue.

Had to make some alterations but got it to work. Axe head was 40 years old.

I bought this to put on an old axe head so that I had a more compact axe to use in tighter spaces. The handle seems sturdy, but I haven't had a chance to really put it to the test.

The grain orientation isn't perfect, but darn close. It appears to be a nice stout handle for it's application. I will purchase more Beaver Tooth handles in the future.

Not the best grain pattern or cut at the eye, but as good as you would find at the hardware store. I had to do quite a bit of shaping, but I'm okay with that. Fits snug, and has stood up to some test chopping of a downed tree from a recent storm. For what it's worth, the plastic it was wrapped in said "Amaz" on it, so it makes me wonder if they are saving the best ones for direct customers and sending seconds to Amazon customers. Will update with use.
