Homepage--system setting--image and sound---voice setting--digital audio output--PCM/LPCM.
If Samsung TV
1. Press the settings or menu button on the remote control.
2. Choose “Sound Output” and select “Audio Out/Optical”.
3. Move down and select the “Sound” menu. Choose “HDMI Input Audio Format” and select “PCM”.
4. Choose “Digital Output Audio Format” and select “PCM”.
*Please refer to the included instructions for setting other brands of TV sets
Q: Why there is no sound coming from my old stereo?
A: Some older speakers may not have a self-amplifying function and need to be connected to an amplifier, otherwise the sound will be very small or even no sound output. (The signal current of the audio converter itself can only drive the headset directly).

Excelente, lo conecté desde un smart-tv Samsung a una bocina, solo se tuvo que configurar la salida de audio de la tv a PCM para que funcionara tal y como lo detalla el instructivo. Lo recomiendo ámpliamete.

Works to send sound from my TV to an older receiver with no HDMI or optical input. However, the TV shows it's adjusting the volume but volume doesn't change. Have to use volume controls on the receiver. When I was using a simple audio cable from the headphone jack, TV sound adjusts.
