The valve meters pressure between the front and rear brakes and if the pressure drops trips the valve and sends current to the brake light in the to let you know somethings wrong. No core is required this is a brand new Inline tube reproduction. This valve is exact reproduction featuring a brass body, the correct bracket, and working insides. You will also find with current manufacturing procedures, the reproduction has no tool stamping marks and the edges of the part are much cleaner than the original.
