I purchased this thermostat at the end of May to replace the same make and model that I had for years that was at the end of its life.On October 10, 2024, I noticed it was feeling cold in the house despite the thermostat being set to 72 and I had the furnace on. The thermostat set temp was reading 62, indoor temp was reading 69.I changed the batteries even though the thermostat was wired directly to the furnace. All was well after that.At 12:30 AM this morning, it happened again. House temp was reading 70, thermostat temp was reading 62. So, I bumped the heat temp back up to 72, waited a half hour to make sure all was well and went to bed. Woke up at 7:30 this morning to the house temp at 69, thermostat was reading 62.It appears that the thermostat is resetting itself for whatever reason,I assume that this was a bum thermostat at I was sold, seeing that my previous thermostat was the same make and model that I had since 2014/2015 and never had a problem with or the company is no longer making a reliable product.I now have to replace a thermostat that was bought “new”, 5 months ago.So unless keeping cool/staying warm isn’t a priority, I would NOT suggest buying from this seller or this product.

The value was minor and the install was simple, after install I set the temp to desired temperature of room….but instead of the back light in the screen lighting the screen I had to turn on the room light to see the digital numbers. My old thermostat back light worked….but the NEW one didn’t …. That’s quality control for you.
