Hear a rattle from your exhaust? Or have a light on the dash for an exhaust actuator valve error/code?
For Audi vehicles equipped with active exhaust system use an electronic actuator. A spring is used to turn the valve located inside the pipe.
This spring often breaks over time due to heat and wear and tear, resulting in a rattle noise and or an engine light.
The dealer solution is to purchase a new actuator as the spring is not available separately. This can be a costly repair.
You can now replace a broken or damage spring with this replacement kit!
