I really wanted this to work. I was going to use it for my ring making but the supplied blades were so dull I couldn’t even cut thin wood. Didn’t expect getting a tool that needed sharpening just to use it.

The product has wobble in it and cannot produce a straight hole. It loses diameter as it goes. No set up directions. Not happyUpdate! Was not tightened at the #2 shaft connection. Once tightened worked properly and am happy with the product. Could still use set up directions

I have been turning rings for awhile, and if you have been doing that, you would know how hard it it to turn perfect straight, slow without taking much material. This out of the box took just a minute to start using. So easy to use and set up. I haven’t made a mistake in sizing since I started using it. Perfect tiny amount taken off, always straight and flush.

I bought this for making wooden rings with a steel core. This does the job very well. I tried eyeballing the rings with hand tools, but my fine motor skills are not that good. This solves the problem nicely. There are a variety of bits, and they cut fine through wood. I have not tried them on metal or any other material.The set screw for moving the bit to the outside of the chuck is a little inconsistent in its movement: it's like the machine screw is off-centre. So, it's stick on one side of the turn and loose on the other side. You just need to experiment with the set screw to get perfect micro-adjustments.

I like how easy this tool is to set up and use. Making absolutely square holes for my wooden rings.I am not too pleased with the sharpness of the cutters or the fact that the cutter shafts are soft and are damaged by just tightening the set screws.
