I bought this to fit my ZWO off axis guider (OAG). This nosepiece eliminates the need for the 48/42 step down ring which can vignette the OAG prism. Well made, and same length - adds maybe 1 mm backfocus.

The description says "Camera T-adapter" but be aware that this is M48, not the more common M42. If you are buying a camera T-ring to go with this, it needs to be M48. I'm probably not the only one who just saw "Camera T-adapter" and didn't realize there was a rival "T" size that doesn't fit standard T adapters you might have for your telescope. For example, the Celestron T adapters are 42mm. On a positive note, this Serounder 48mm one is good quality. When I asked to return it, it was no problem, in fact I didn't even have to send it back, so now I'm feeling bad that I should have done more homework on it before ordering.

The GSO 2" ED Barlow (sold under several names including Zhumell and TPO) has a detachable lens cell with M48 threads on both ends. I made up an all threaded optical train to include the Barlow lens, and used this adapter to connect it to the 2" EP adapter on the draw tube of a 120mm refractor. A much less expensive method than buying a custom adapter for the large draw tube.This 2" tp M48 adapter is well machined, but and I wished that I had noticed before buying that it is tapered to create a safety undercut. The undercut significantly reduces the bearing surface against the ID of the draw tube's EP adapter and requires careful tightening of the holding screws to keep everything tight, and true.Note, this is not a manufacturing flaw, it is a design decision that I do not like, while others may like it. It works but I'm sorry it has the safety taper. 3 stars for that reason.
