Ordered this 2-inch check valve for a hydraulic ram pump that I wanted to build. However, I should have ordered a smaller size check valve because a 2-inch ram pump would require a river, and not a small creek. The quality of the check valve looks good, and I’m sure it would have worked if I had enough water flow. The brass, threads, and seal look great, and appear to be perfectly manufactured. Cost-wise, this fitting is quite affordable.

This check valve leaks profusely, even when properly installed. It's unreliable and fails to prevent backflow as advertised.
