It's somewhat amazing the variance in yarn calling itself chenille. I remember the chenille sweaters from the 90's when they were trendy. Those sweaters were very soft but tended to become full of holes and bare patches after many washes and wears. I've seen few sellers offering chenille like that but this is closes than many. It's not the softest chenille I've ever seen or used, but it is soft. The extra bit of sturdiness will hopefully allow this yarn to wash and wear better than the sweaters of old. I crochet, so I used this yarn that way and it's easy to use. I didn't experience any issues with splitting and so far there haven't been many knots to deal with. I like that this is offered in many colors but I would like to see some variegated options.

I received this for my daughter. Here is her review:This product arrived in good condition. It came with plenty of yarn for each color and I think it will last for a few projects. The colors are very pretty together and I appreciate that the yarn doesn't shed any "fluff" like other soft yarns I have used. Overall I am very pleased with this yarn and I look forward to using it for future projects.

I received four vacuum packed small (50 gram) skeins of "khaki" (the color name in the listing, though to me this color is not khaki) cream colored "Mooaske" chenille yarn for crocheting or crafts. Each skein is 50 meters or 65 yards. That's half the size of many other brand chenille yarn skeins. I think this could be described as "bulky" yarn? The paper band advises that you use a 4mm crochet hook with this. For projects like little toys where you want finer stitches, go down to a smaller size hook. This has pretty good tensile strength, it doesn't threaten to break, but if it's abraded it will tend to have bits of fluff come loose. I kind of think this goes with the territory of any chenille yarn. It is not for any use that would get a lot of abrasion, nor that needs to be very washable. It needs to be treated more gently than normal crochet yarn. There is a "teddy bear" quality to this such that whatever you make is probably going to look cute. It is therefore a favorite for baby blankets and other baby stuff, however you are definitely not going to be able to machine wash this without negative consequences--and you're probably going to want to wash a baby blanket. The paper band on it tells you it is hand washable (only). For best results you should probably dry items flat after washing them. Certainly not in the dryer. This type and amount of yarn could make a beanie hat or scarf, or cute small toys or novelties. You'd need more than four skeins to make any kind of blanket.

The yarn arrived in vacuumed pack. Be sure to open immediately to 'fluff' up the yarn or the fiber would be crushed. Ordered the 'Set D' which is in combinations of black, gray, light and dark blue. Perfect for making small gingham or checkered project. Shed just a bit but within acceptable range. The chenille is soft and easy to crochet with. Great for beginners since the yarn has no ply and would not splits.

The yarn comes vacuum packed. Though it's called blanket yarn, it's not thick. This is not as soft as some that I have worked with, but should make the patterns more clear. It is soft, but has a bit more heft than some. The color is more pink than purple ... like a deep fuchsia.I'm looking forward to working with this. This would be a great yarn for beginners because the stitches are so clean.
