As another reviewer said, these would probably be good for prevention, and for a little added stability, but there isn't a lot of support. I bought these after injuring my ankle at the gym. Not serious, but it started to hurt again whenever I worked out. I tried one work out with one of these braces, and my ankle still ached after my workout. I went back to wrapping it heavily with an ace bandage. Once the ankle is healed, I will probably use this brace for a while, just to prevent another injury.

It gaps some and doesn't provide enough support in my opinion. Easy to put on, very lightweight.

it does not offer any support when applied per the instructions. Please stop naming it a brace it is not. Just say "just like a cheap sock-same amount of support!

Unfortunately I didn’t notice the default size was xl so I ordered the wrong size. My fault. It seems to work ok for compression even with the odd size and can be used with shoes. Not bulky.
