They fit the dog holes on my bench and provide a secure clamp. The price is a bit high but I did order a couple more pair since the fitment was so good. Not sure how well they would work with taller material to clamp?

In building an assembly table with 3/4” dog holes, I wanted a simple clamp to secure woodworking projects. Since my table top is two sheets of 3/4” plywood, I didn’t need the dog to be that long and these clamps seemed to fit the bill. I actually saw them in a YouTube video of someone drilling dog holes. The clamp is 19mm which is slightly less than 3/4”, but I found that it holds pretty well. There was one dog hole where it was slipping perhaps because it was drilled too wide. While drilling holes, I actually used the clamp to hold my drilling jig.Once you press the clamp all the way down, you just pull up the lever to put pressure on your work. It holds pretty well, but did slip from time to time. I had to drill 72 holes, so it got a workout. About halfway through the set screw fastening the clamp arm to the post must have loosened and it came apart. Because the post is aluminum, the metal is soft and I could see where the set screw left marks on the post as it was working its way off. Once I realized it slipped off, I put it back in place and tightened the set screw and finished the other half of the holes with no issues. So I suggest you tighten the set screw on each of them before you start using them.In the end, I probably would buy them again.

Fantastic mft table accessory. I had originally thought I would need other clamps for the other side of my pieces...but these are extremely sturdy. I still use more than necessary for now. Over time I might find two or three is all I need generally.

Bought new and look dirty and used out the box. Disappointing.UPDATE: this is how they replied to my review, “ The outermost layer of the product will be oxidized. You can wipe the traces outside”. LOL Seriously? “Oxidized”? They are just plain dirty and questionably used. Just own up to your lack of quality control and clean your product before you box it up. What a joke. Was originally 3 stars, now 1 star for bad excuses.

These hold down clamps work positively and easily - better than I expected. The cam action is a little stiff but holds well in fully extended position. I've used them in 3/4 dog holes on the bench and a bora centipede table. There's not a lot of clamping capacity - I'd say 2-2.5 inches maybe, but within their range they're great.

So far, I've just used one to secure a piece while chiseling out waste from dovetails. Fit in my dog holes and held the piece with minimal movement.
