2. To prolong the life of the detail sander parts try not to put to much pressure on the sander when sanding, excessive pressure creates heat build up in the sanding pad which will quickly breakdown or even melt the tiny plastic hooks on the pad

The Mouse Sander Replacement Pads fit the Ryobi sander perfectly. A set of 2 will extend the life of the sander.

This fits our RYOBI sander, the dust holes line up, and I like how I received them the next day. But, one of the sander bases has a decent percentage of hooks missing along two edges (see image). I'm hoping the sandpaper still stays secure even with these defects. Will need to do more testing to be confident.

Not what I was thinking they would be when I ordered. They fit my sander but I thought these were the sanding sheets but they are the fixed piece on the sander that holds the sanding sheets. They do work and fit my sander well. They are made with quality materials.

i purchased my ryobi sander used and it was pretty good condition but obviously been really put to work. this replacement pad fits and feels like it should. hopefully it lasts a long time.

First off, my mouse sander is a Wen 6301, which is very very close to the Ryobi these are designed for. Nothing a little precision surgery can’t fix, with a couple new mounting holes bored into these bad boys, and some minor contouring of the exhaust ports and I’ll have a good long supply. Saves me the expense of the OEM which go for about 8 bucks per, plus shipping from the Wen mothership.I can’t yet comment on how long they last. Seems like technique might play a fairly large role in that. Looks like the trick is to let the sander do its thing while being guided by the user with minimal pressure, which will help keep the squiggly pigtails to a minimum, and extend the life of the hooks on the pad. I’m redoing some hardwood stairs so tiny squiggles won’t be as noticeable, but the perfectionist in me is shooting for a nice silky smooth finish so the final finish looks fantastic in all lighting situations
