Make sure your brush roll spins freely. A bad roller will break a good belt.
Remove any debris from the roller. The belt will last longer.
Check end caps for damage or melting.
Look at the brush roll housing & bottom plate for signs of wear or melting.
The motor shaft should be smooth with nothing on it.

The replacement belt was exact in detail and size. It was easy to swap out from our broken one and the vacuum was good as new. This is a picture of one of the belts since the other one was already put on.
