I was able to use both adapters as they come with cam locks for the wiring. I wired the adapters in a series to keep it 18 V for the power wheels I was adapting. The Ryobi battery snapped into these adapters perfectly, and the ability to use two or one is perfect for longevity

Super easy to install. Just clip the old connector off of the Power Wheel vehicle. Strip about half an inch off the end of the wires. Use the supplied connectors to quickly connect it.The vehicles -really- zoom after the upgrade. Gave one adapter to my parents to upgrade their 20yo jeep, and kept one for the buggy we picked off the side of the road (with missing battery adapter). My parents jaw dropped when they saw how fast it was now.

I use the pair to connect a pair of high 12ah 18v Ryobi batteries I got to possibly replace some sealed lead acid batteries I had been using to power my old Black & Decker lawn mower. I put the batteries in series to get the required 36v for the mower and I had the proper connector to mate the batteries to the mower and off we go. The two batteries power my mower so that I could do both the front and back of my lawn whereas my old batteries would only one or the other but not both.So, I am impressed with the adapters and the batteries.

I watched many YouTube videos on reviving dead Ryobi (and other brand) batteries. The basic problem is the same. After the battery drops in voltage below a certain level, from long-term storage or whatever, a sensor in the charger sees the battery as no good and will not charge it. The videos I looked at all require the disassembly of the battery to access + and - nodes on the circuit board and jumping them to another same-brand battery with at least some charge. If you buy two of these products like I did you simply place them on the good and batteries and connect the attached + and - wires. I left them for 5 minutes and then put the dead battery in the charger. The charger recognized the battery and charged it to full. These $12 items saved me $99 for a new battery, actually $198 because I had two bad ones.

Picked a 2 pack of these up to have some fun with my little kiddo's powerwheels. I ran these in parallel so that I could have some extended battery life, and not risk putting too much load on individual batteries. Everything worked a charm, but the only word of caution I have is be careful with using 6ah batteries from Ryobi. The gauge on the wires is far too small for long term use and they get HOT. 4ah seems to be the sweet spot for long term use.
