When sawdust clogs your sandpaper, sanding belt or disc, these things will do exactly what they say. In other words, you press them against it while it's moving, and it will "clean" them so that you can continue using it and not have to replace it. Or you can use it manually, but it takes longer and requires a little more effort. Often, the abrasive is still fine, it's just not working any longer because it's caked with sawdust. It feels like a giant gum eraser. I don't try to save cheap discs/belts but for a high quality or expensive one, this more than pays for itself I think, because you don't use a lot at a time. I'd give them a try, I think they're pretty useful.

Made from rubber and resembling an oversized pencil eraser this fella will remove the gunk from your belts and make them look like new. Every shop should have a few of these. It takes just about a minute to extend the sanding discs life by removing abraded material lodged between abrasive grains. Now your sander is ready for the next project.Cheers
