It’s nice that it folds to make it a little bit easier to transport and store than a 32” long version. I also like that it has a small scale that can be used while folded up and still measures 15” so if you’re fishing sunnies and crappies you can leave it small. The vertical piece of the board could be a bit taller. Bigger fish won’t ‘bump’ as nicely and you’ll need to make sure they are lined up right.I measured it with another tape measure and the first section is dead one. The second part is about a 1/16 long. I’m guessing it’s due to the hinge and the scale not getting quite right. So just a 1/16th of an inch if you’re above 16”.

I had gotten a plastic bump board last year that was similar in design to this, but it was only one piece, so it only measured to about 15 inches. This bump board has significantly improved upon that with the folding design expanding the size to 32 inches. The boards are solidly constructed, slim, and light so they are good for carrying. The only issue I had with these bump boards is is that the lip is somewhat small and it doesn't fold down. With big fish on their side, it's possible the lip of the fish will pass over the top of the lip on the bump board. Also, because the lip doesn't fold, it could potentially break off, leaving you with a folding ruler instead of a bump board.I do like that it has a handy hole so you can hang it on a nail or hang it off a pack. I just wish the lip of the board stuck up higher to push bigger fish up against.
