Wifey sits upfront to handle the jib, but the boats "spine" is elevated there, leaving two depressions, making it uncomfortable to sit. These fill those holes perfectly and can be used if someone goes overboard without their life vest. Which should never happen, but just in case it's good to have.

Cheesy & flimsy but fine for a jon boat in a private pond. Do NOT assume they’re legally adequate for personal flotation on public water.
