These went out on me a month after installing them. I had to go and buy the ac delco. This was a waste of money

These cam position actuators were a quick fix for my chevy. About half an hour under the hood and the check engine light was gone. Blow the debris from top of engine before removing the old actuators. Highly recommend this product

Good price. Easy to install. Fault code did not clear on its own, had to clear fault code with a scanner. Working great.

Car: Chevy cobalt 2010Mileage: 166kI take pretty good care of my car and do regular maintenance and oil changes on regular intervals. Out of nowhere after filling up my gas tank on a dark Tuesday night, my check engine light came on. Panicked, I ran to my closest Autozone right before closing time and had them check the code for me using their obd scan tool.Error code P0011 showed upThe worker couldn’t help anymore as they were past close at this point, so I turned to Google. Read about others experiences and decided to do the following:Change my oilReplace these solenoidsReplace the camshaft sensorWell, I was 30 miles away from home and it was 9pm so no oil change places were open. Drove a short distance to Walmart, got oil change equipment and changed it there in the parking lot, praying that would clear the errorI was at 3.5k miles since last oil change. I use full synthetic valvoline and usually do it every 4k so I knew i was due anywaysAfter an expensive shopping trip and many stares in the middle of the parking lot, my oil was changed but the error did not clear. I gave up efforts for the night and took a chance driving home. My car did not explode. The next morning I checked the autoZone website for these solenoids and couldn’t believe the prices! $45 a piece for these! Couldn’t believe the prices! So, like everyone else looking for better and more fair/honest pricing, I turned to Amazon.Came across these and saw they had one day shipping and cost 1/4 the prices of the autozone ones. I ordered them and got them right at 5:30pm.Removed the old, compared with the new, and installed. Overall process took maybe 20 minutes.Sat back in the driver seat, staring at my dashboard, Hoping I wouldnt see that dreaded yellow light again when I turned the key. I closed my eyes, turned the key, and heard the engine start up. I opened them up and voila!! The light did not return.Idled for about 15 minutes and noticed my car didnt vibrate as much as it used to either. The car felt brand new.Initial impression: definitely recommend these solenoids. Will provide an update after some miles have been driven.

Installed this set of solenoids on my daughters 2008 G6 2.4L 4 cyl engine in early October of 2019 due to codes P0013 and P0014 being set. She has driven the car approx 3,000 miles since without issues. I am a retired GM tech so this job was kind of a no brainer since I had replaced many of these in the past due to mileage and codes. Replacing them is not difficult or time consuming and can be completed in about 30 to 40 mins if done properly. I do suggest you have some engine repair experience before attempting.Be sure to use good quality tools to prevent damage to the heads of the small bolts as they can be locked in place and sometimes hard to break loose.*****FIRST STEP IS DISCONNECT THE NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL! *****After removing top engine covers and accessing the solenoid area at the front (right side) of the top of the cylinder head be sure to clean the areas around the solenoids with compressed air or a spray cleaner before removing. This will prevent dirt and debris from falling into the holes after removal and causing damage to internal parts of the engine.Carefully disconnect wiring harness from old solenoids to prevent breaking the small tabs. They become brittle with age and heat.Remove one solenoid at a time. They may be difficult to remove and need to use a screwdriver to pry them out of the hole due to the seals locking in place. Be careful not to damage head surfaces or other surrounding parts. Penetrating lube can be used to help aid in loosening the seals hold. Wait about 5 minutes to let the lube soak in just be sure to clean away any lube before installing new solenoids.Remove the correct corresponding new solenoid from the box and lube the seals with clean oil before inserting into hole to aid in seating solenoid completely to surface to head. Finger start the mounting bolt to prevent cross threading. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN MOUNTING BOLTS! Torque to manufacturers specs.Reconnect the electrical terminals carefully.Reconnect negative battery terminal.Clear all codes stored. (This can be done before service too. Disconnecting the battery will not clear stored codes.)Start engine and check for leaks before reinstalling the top engine covers.

Great and affordable product. Very happy with the price and it solved the issue. I gave it four stars out of five though because the bolts that are sent with it are very cheap. I actually snapped a bolt in half tightening it down. I was lucky to drill it out. I then used the original bolts from the existing. If you do buy this product I do not recommend using the bolts it is sent with.
