Shipping was fast and the drains are of great quality for the price. I added them to my Mako Pro Skiff 17’ which are known to have problems here and there with the separate hull sides retraining water. The install was simple with a correct hole saw size and I pre drilled my screw holes. For easiest installation go ahead and unthread the plugs and then put the outside flange against your transom and grab a sharpie. Trace the total outline of the flange and then inside the plug opening and finally dot your screw holes. Center your hole saw pilot bit in the mark you made inside the threads and make your cutout. Center your drain plug flange and confirm your screw holes and then pre drill with a very small bit. Add sealant (3M 4200 preferred for a non permanent install) to the inside flange as well as the hole you cut out. And dab some over the screw holes you pre drilled.DO NOT use the supplied screws. Use #10 button head self tapping marine grade stainless screws in 3/4” length. A longer screw is going to over thread to get it set and adds extra risk of rounding out the hole thus needing a larger diameter screw.Sink your screws in with a low pressure impact driver and don’t rip one side in rather than going back and forth like a log pattern for equal pressure. Your marine adhesive will then push past the outside flange and create a tight seal. After about 2 minutes you can wipe the excess adhesive with a rag and a dab of rubbing alcohol.

These boat drain plugs are solidly made and have a good fit and finish to them. My only concern is the thin rubber gasket and it's longevity. Probably fine if you don't often open the bilge drain. I open mines every time I use the boat.

These are a great fit for my boat, they thread in easy and I don't see any water leaks, nice to have a backup one as well.

I was replacing plugs on my jet ski. And these plugs exactly to the product and worked perfectly.II replaced the plastic plugs. Because they were cracked and start in to go bad. These polished illuminum PlugsLook great on a high performance jet ski. But over time I wonder if metal involved with it will corrode. And create it. To not come apart over a. of time. That will be left to seek. I like the product. If it was in a stainless steel.Manufactured Part, it would probably be a lot more usable in fresh and salt water without having any corrosion overtime, but the value was great..
