They have some practical value as well as a respectable look. These are handy for reaching the bottom of tall containers and some salad dressing bottles. They also work well for stirring deep dishes and getting the last bits from the big peanut butter jar. These are long enough to rest on the edges of large simmering pots and pans without overheating. They're attractive and not overly fragile. They bend when you want them to, if you want them to.I actually tried one on several tasks with the other still in the bag, completely unused, to see how they'd compare after some usage. There was no difference. I stirred up a baking soda slurry to clean coffee stains and used vinegar another time. I noticed no discoloration or any way to tell that it had been used. I did rinse the spoon before switching between the two items on opposite sides of the pH scale. I did note with no flat edge on the handle, just a continuous swirl design to the end, the spoon felt more like a chopstick than an actual spoon. With reasonable hand strength, it can be manageable when held differently than a regular spoon. The spoon cup is smaller than a teaspoon, about 1/4 tsp when measuring sugar grains to the shallow but 1 1/8" wide brim (non-heaped). They're sturdier than one might expect; I did appreciate that. I see no reason to dock any stars with these. Pick up a few if you want 12" spoons that have practical value.

i absolutely love having these spoons in my kitchen. I drink from a 40oz tumbler DAILY and usually what i put in it is something mixed, like a powder packet of flavor, or i make 4C green tea or leomenade....literally always something mixed though. These spoons reach the bottom with room on the handle for me to not have to get my hands wet. Before getting these spoons i would use butter knifes but i wouldnt fill the tumbler all the way, mix it and then fill the last inch or two with more water. With this spoon it reaches the bottom and i even measured, i have 1 3/4 inches of handle to use before my fingers hit the rim of the tumbler. So helpful, great qaulity, and dishwasher safe! i love that its a two pack incase one is in the dishwasher, and the twirl design just looked really elegant. I used these to stir coffees when i worked at a coffee shop and have always wanted some of my own! no regrets, totally reasonable pricing for a 12inch handled spoon (thats 12 inches including the spoon) and i would highly recommend
