Bought it for my neighbor. I already had one that worked great and I wanted to share the technology with the neighbor. It works great for them.

It works great! Finally, don’t have to brush the snow off anymore!

Seems to be a little pricey for what you get

I bought this last fall of 2022, I'm just reviewing now because I wanted to use it a few times. First I placed an outdoor electrical receptacle near it, and ran it right to my breaker box. This way I can turn it on and off from my house.. It was very easy to install first off. The first three times I used it I forgot to turn it on and I lost my Dish signal during a snow storm. I turned it on and all 3 times in less than 3 minutes the signal was back. The fourth time I remembered it and turned it on during a snow and ice storm and never lost signal. I love it! I should have bought it years ago.

We bought this for my mother-in-laws satellite dish. We would always have to go over to her house to get up on the roof when snow collected and stopped the signal. Now, she flips the switch on the remote inside the house and the snow just melts away. Only takes a few minutes. Very easy to install also. This has been a godsend for my husband having to get up on that slippery roof to brush off snow. No more! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

UPDATE....1 YEAR LATER.....It's quit working. So, this morning, my (stubborn!) 85-year-old husband was out in 17 degrees and snowing weather dangling over the upstairs railing scraping off the stupid dish. The orange strips appear to be firmly attached to the dish, but it's collecting and holding snow just like it did before the zapper. I'm disgusted.Got this because our dish is newly out of sweeping reach due to a small remodeling project. Have had a GREAT snow year so far and this gizmo has performed like a champ!Due to the inaccessibility of our dish, we had an electrician install the heater, an outdoor outlet and had the outlet switched to an existing bank of switches inside. This would certainly NOT be necessary with better accessibility. My only complaint in an application other than ours is that the attached cord is very short; hard to imagine the installation that won't require an extension cord.Ask me in a couple of years, but right now, we're really happy with this product.
