About this item

  • Versatile Attachment Solution: Uniseals provide a reliable method to attach 1 inch bulkhead fitting pipes to various containers, especially on curved surfaces like storage drums and buckets, where traditional bulkhead fittings might fail. Ideal for 1 inch Schedule 40 PVC pipes.
  • Dimensions: Pipe ID - 1'' (25mm) - Pipe OD - 1.315'' (33mm) - Holesaw size: 1.75'' (44mm) - Up to 3/8" Wall Thickness. (9mm) - Compatible with 3/8" Wall Thickness
  • Liquid Tight Seal: UNISEAL is the world's best product. UNISEALS provide more versatility than a traditional bulkhead, handling irregularities and curvatures with ease.
  • Easy To Install: Longevity, easy installation, and reduced labor and material costs. It is made to withstand pressure and suction as well as oils, greases, sewage, waste, heat and cold.
  • The Best: To achieve optimal results in straight or curved applications, the UNISEAL is the only choice to meet your sealing needs. Made in the USA.

Uniseal is simply the world's best seal. It is also incredibly easy to install. After cutting a hole in the wall of a tank or other surface, the seal is inserted. Then the pipe is coated with a slippery detergent (i.e. dish soap) and pushed into the seal. Uniseal products replace traditional plumbing hardware with a single injection molded unit requiring no component parts. It was designed to solve many of the issues of pipe to tank connections. For many industries pipe to tank seals are traditionally among the most complex connections to manufacture. Traditional seals require multiple parts such as, rigid flanges, bolts, washers, o-rings, along with long assembly times and high production costs. The Du Pont Alcryn is the key to the liquid-tight seal. When the pipe is pushed through the rubber-like Uniseal from the outside, the inside Alcryn wall becomes thin enough to allow the pipe to squeeze through and then forms a liquid-tight seal. The coefficient of friction with the plastic pipe is roughly three times higher than any other material which allows it to create a better seal than with any other material. In static conditions the seal is good up to 65 PSI. Uniseal can withstand pressure, and suction, acids, oils, greases, gasoline, sewage, waste, heat and cold. It offers long life, easy installation and reduced labor and material costs.

Works well even on curved surfaces like 55 gallon barrels.

Nice seal. I didn't need anything extra for this to be perfectly leak free on my 55 gallon pond natural filtration bog filter.

I like this seal option for making my own inlet and outlet for 30 gal grey water sump, for before sending sink drain to a leach field line. I experimented with a 2 and 7/8" - 73mm hole on my tank first for a 2" ABS pipe insert to 3 " hole. I was worried the 3" might be too loose after one reviewer said his was (might have been with PVC insert? ). I found I needed to re-drill with 3" - 76mm hole saw (taped previous cut out center back in place to drill to 3"). That worked great for my 2" ABS pipe insert. I used soapy water for lube, and pressed my short 2" ABS pipe in with a little wiggling while also applying lots of pressure. I am sure tapering the end of that 2" ABS with a razor knife was helpful. Like this best way to seal an inlet and outlet for a tank that I have used to date.

I am using this for a slightly different putpose than what it was made. I have plumbing pvc for a future bathroom sticking out of concrete floor in my basement gym area. I laid LVP flooring and had to cut around the pipe. I am using the seal ring to trim around the pipe and hide the floor cuts. I will paint the pipe black and put a boot over the top until I ever decide to add a bathroom. It works great and fits in with the industial style I was going for in the basement.

Good product and the solution to sliding 2 inch pvc into it is....boil some water. Once water is boiling, turn off heat. Put seal into the water for about 2 minutes. This made it pliable enough to slide the pipe in. Also I beveled the end of the pipe and used no lubrication other than saliva.
