I got these because I needed to do some work with tiny resistors. They work good for the first few minutes then there stay oxidizing though. I tried 2 tips and started out low temp. I was able to use them in temps between 300c to 400c.Would recommend looking at other tips unless you have no other options.

Can melt solder (tin and lead 60/40) directly onto tip, but can’t melt solder on board, solder also sticks to the tip way too much and is difficult to remove

I originally purchased these, thinking, "Even if some of them are sub-standard, there are plenty to move on to another one." I am relatively new to soldering and thought something less expensive might be a great starting point for my learning journey. I wasn't wrong! But I'm not exactly satisfied either. As others have mentioned, the head conduction throughout the entire tip is pretty inconsistent. From my batch, several heated great at the actual tip (point) of the the item while inconsistently heating parts of the sides, and in other tips from the same package the tip wasn't heated enough, but the sides were scorching the material I was soldering near. Almost my entire experience was soldering wiring for lights, primarily LED strips, but also bike lights I converted to being powered through battery packs instead of batteries directly. These tips pretty much had what it took to accomplish a single part of any one job before being utterly useless (several of them I was able to solder only one to three wire ends before the tip was no longer picking up solder, despite probably-adequate cleaning, tinning the wire ends and tinning the soldering iron tip. In fairness: Several of these tips lasted through the whole day while I was working across projects, but not enough of them that I felt I had spent my money well, even considering I expected to mess up a fair amount more than I truly did). Although my being new probably played a part, it's hard to imagine I was so greatly mistreating the tips. All in all, I wouldn't recommend these or buy them again, but if you're a super-beginner and acknowledge the realm of mistakes you might make as "more than moderate" then maybe these wouldn't literally be the very worst purchase you could make; however be prepared (especially if you're at all OCD about the appearance of the soldering results) to learn how to re-do your work several times, at least. My recommendation: If you can afford it, definitely look for something of a higher quality. It may cost more dollars up front, but I'm absolutely confident (no matter your skill level) that you'll "get that money back" in the amount of time you save not re-doing at least a portion of every job multiple times, and likely frustration at not having the end results you really want, and know you really probably should be able to achieve. Had some especially fine soldering to do, but these weren't the tips for that. In fact, I can't see any use for these besides keeping them with my kit for those times I need to get my cat off the workstation.The heat transfer on these is abysmal. Halfway up the shaft only reaches around 70% output. By the last quarter, only 40% heat transfer. Meaning, at my highest safe setting, solder won't stay liquid on the tip. This makes a mess. I've left the point on a joint for three minutes, and the surface didn't get hot enough to take solder. There just isn't enough inductance in the material given the length.I would return these, but the cost in gas to get to the post office is more than the pack cost. Might melt them down to make something more useful - like a paperweight.

I bought these to use with my Hakko FX-600 soldering iron for SMT work. The inside diameter of the base of these tips is too large to make good thermal contact with the ceramic heating element on the FX-600 and the tip does not get hot enough to melt solder very well, even with the iron turned all the way up. There may be other Hakko irons that this will work with, but not the FX-600. I found another tip with a slightly larger offset tip. (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B076QFBYGZ?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details). It works fine and the offset tip seems more convenient to me than the straight tip.

Sehr gute Qualität es tut die 480° standhalten und die Aufsätze passen gut auf dem lötwerkzeug man kann es sogar für holz einbrennungen nutzen. Super lötaufsetze. Ich kann diesen Artikel nur weiterempfehlen.
