Another item that has swore my soul to hell...why are things madenthat are so had to assemble. Tiniest of screws and assembly is the most difficult as you can't just do one panel at a time and forget it.. no you have to take out screw to add the next piece and don't get me started on doing the other side you need occupuss arms....I regret this purchase but I will take another shot at it, what odds my soul is already gone to hell.

I wish I'd gotten one of these many years ago. It was tricky to assemble by myself – with a lot of screws – but so worth it! Keeps the animals out and compost in. Easy to tumble!

The frame is easy to assemble, but the included instructions for assembling the drum are as bad as people say. Here's what you need to know: the door panel should be placed at the arrows of the side pieces. The following panels overlap and you should start assembly from the top of the doors. When you get to the last panel, remove the bottom bolts from the door panel because the last panel needs to slide under the door panel. Be sure that the center wheel is seating in it's groove as you assemble each panel. Once assembled, it seems very sturdy and durable and I'm excited to turn my kitchen waste into good, organic planting soil. I have horses on the corner to add organic material to get the composting process started, but you can buy starter medium here on Amazon or your local feed store.

Only been using it about 2 weeks but I like the size and convenience of having it on the back deck. However I may have to move it because of the flys being attracted to it.

This was easy to build and I am looking forward to composting with ease!

Does the job. Sturdy.Port a bit small to scoop up contents comfortably, if you want only a bit. But option is to empty totally and save to another wider mouthed bin.The 2 bins good idea for continuous manufacture.

Great value composter. Nice and sturdy after assembly. It came with a full set of instructions and the video in the product description was also helpful. Two key assembly tips...1. - Only bolt one side of the screws for the first panel, the second panel tucks under. 2. For the final panel, tuck it UNDER the first panel to screw it together. Took 2 of us about 30 minutes to put it together. One side is already full of material and I like that the included thermometer is giving me a temperature reading. Happy composting!

The fluids leak out of the gaps between panels, and so do maggots and whatever other bugs there are. It is expected, but when you want to go to rotate it, make sure you are wearing work gloves. Otherwise, the size is perfect, the assembly is SUPER easy, {Find someone with long arms to get those last few screws in} and find a good spot away from any doors or windows to set it up. Occasionally you get some smell, but rotation and adding more materials makes that minimal.

The unit arrived ahead of time. I just got into gardening this year and decided to start composting in order to add nutrients to the container garden and my lawn. The setup instructions were not the greatest but easy enough to figure out through trial and error. Did not take long to put together. Right now it is about halfway full of compost. Note, as the unit starts filling up it requires a bit more an effort to start tumbling. I am pleased with the purchase and happy with the value of the product.

I was a little disappointed by how quickly the center piece moved off from center. and is now not sitting correctly.

Ok it was delivered on time. It did take some time to put it together and yes it is sturdy. However, because it is somewhat of a closed system it stinks really, really bad! On top of that it is not waterproof so basically what you get out is the equivalent of rotten cow like manure bricks. Now try to clean it out presents a whole other realm of problems. Because it spins I tried to put a bucket underneath to catch the compost. The barrel knocked the bucket over and some of the compost went on the rocks. Got a smaller bucket and tried to rinse the rest of the compost out, because the barrel is not round it makes jerky movements and the rest of the compost again ended up on the rocks. Would I buy this product again NO but since I did I will use it. I have resorted to the tub my husband uses when he changes the oil in cars. Of course I bought a new one but it's rectangular and the barrel can't knock it over and the surface area is bigger, fingers crossed the compost will not hit the rocks this time.

Ok, so I am generally a pretty handy person, but I also know the reality of people's' abilities. I saw a few reviews that make this out to be an assembly nightmare - admittedly, the directions are a bit sparse, but there aren't all that many pieces - that being said, the users claiming they spent hours and hours assembling this likely also wouldn't have benefitted from an exhaustive direction pamphlet anyway. Sure, you'll have to install a handful of bolts (which happen to have nuts which grab hold of the plastic after hand tightening so that you may easily screw the bolt in from the front without gripping them on the back), and you probably could accidentally install the center divider (a single, slip-in-to-place piece) upside down if you're busy looking at the clouds, but if you seriously can't handle this, I don't think you're going to figure out the whole composting situation either.Buy this thing, I spent ages researching composters. It is awesome so far, the tumbling aspect is awesome, and it is undoubtedly going to hold up for a while. Only suggestions would be to actually have an option for two separate colored doors in the future (one of the doors has an embossed plus on it to indicate the side which you should currently be adding to - particularly useful for people with children (or roommates who don't ever pay attention, ahem), but the plus is the same color as the door. I used a metallic sharpie to color the plus in simply to make it fool proof), perhaps have a handle used to spin the barrel (only because sometimes some juices might make their way through drainage/aeration holes and grace your hand), and potentially make the legs a bit taller (so you could get a wheelbarrow or something under it easily).
