It was time to replace our old pool thermometer - have a decent size above ground pool on the property - since our old physical thermometer had gotten damaged. I decided might as well give digital a try. So far, everything is pretty good.It doesn't require any power source, since it is solar powered. The digital read out works well, and it seems pretty accurate from what we could tell. I like the little subtle glow, from the flamingo - it actually matches a flamingo pool float we have that also lights up at night - and it is a cute look just floating around the pool. It does have a cord to tie it off on the ladder - which might happen as it gets warmer for faster water checking. As a bonus, it does include some bonus test strips for the water. We have plenty, but still always nice to have extra. So excellent product for a pool or hot tub of any type.
