Well, I finally bought my very own binoculars that I primarily use to watch different aircraft in the approach to Spokane airport and Fairchilde AFB.Allow me to say this, although this is a very nice pair, you would have to spend much much more to see objects so close to reach out and touch them. But military grade or tripod grade is too expensive and too heavy! In several words, I like the feel and lightweight.I think for casual aircraft spotting and bird watching, these are remarkably good and easy to use.And the nice discount was attractive too! Absolutely we love these binoculars! We have many critters in our backyard and getting a closer look at them with these binoculars makes it fun enjoying the wild life! Durable and waterproof makes it great for handing to the kid and you don't have to worry about them getting messed up. The lense covers and the bag protect it when storing.
