OBVIOUSLY NOT STAINLESS STEEL plated steel. Also flimsy compared to OEM grate. Returned immediately, did not pass go, did not collect $200

I'm always looking to add some versatility to my 22.5" weber kettle. The main feature with this grate, that interests me, is that the centerpiece is removable. So with this grill grate, I can easily access charcoal in the center. This will be helpful when using a vortex charcoal heat deflector. I also want to be able to use this with a wok.Pros:Fits 22.5" Weber KettleRemovable CenterpieceCons:Light to Medium Duty. Good for smaller items, like chicken wings and hot dogs. Forget about cooking a pork butt or brisket on this, without adding some support underneath it. It won't be able to hold a heavy wok either, unless I support it from the bottom.Overall, I think this grill grate tries to do too much, with having both sides hinged, and a removable centerpiece. If it had thicker steel or if the sides, were welded instead of hinged, then perhaps it would be more sturdy. They do have a Cast Iron design, which I think would be ideal for my needs.

The pockets casted into the outer ring portion of the grate to support the center section of grate were on the bottom instead of the top. I have to use the grate upside down ( the flat side of the grate facing up). I needed to use the grate so I figured I couldn't return it because I cooked on itThe seller would have to know of this issue yet chose not to disclose it. They really should offer some sort of compensation for their mistake. Otherwise it's a nice grate, just wish I could achieve better grill marks.

1. It’s cracked see attached picture2. It’s cast backwards; the small insert should fit on top not below the larger ring. The flat side should be on the bottom not the top. Very poor quality, and obviously no QC.
