After my mother passed, I used the inheritance to purchase a good ductless HVAC for my detached wood shop. It worked well until about five months after the warranty expired. The local HVAC repair people wanted more than a thousand dollars to fix it. Instead, I went out and purchased two 240-volt heaters that I hung diagonally across my forty-foot shop. Neither of these heaters had a true thermostat, and it was impossible to keep the shop at a steady temperature. I decided to make my own temperature control system consisting of an AC 24-volt transformer, an old-fashioned dial thermostat, wire, and two relays (contactors) to switch the 240 volts. This is a review of the “Doorbell Power Adapter” that I used in the above system. This plug-in transformer converts 120 volts AC to 24 volts AC with a 16-foot cord that terminates with two stripped wires (no connector).I tested this connected to the two relays and two indicator lights, and it provided more than sufficient power. I left this setup running for over an hour and did not detect any rise in temperature of the transformer or wire.I would definitely purchase this again.

Got this for my Simplisafe Doorbell and it works like a charm. The only this is, the wire wasn't long enough for me. I had to feed it through a window in order to plug it in and thankfully it was just long enough even though I couldn't tuck the wire into the siding to make it more aesthetically pleasing.
