Yes, you can purchase a manhole & cover on Amazon. Absolutely amazing. This one appears to be cast. It's got a lip that's meant to be embedded in asphalt or concrete. Nice and heavy & strong and well made. It's a lot of metal!

I was expecting a cover that was more plastic or fiberglass. This is more of a "cast metal" type material that can be brittle. I have no doubt that it can handle the load of a vehicle driving over the top of it, but when it arrived, there were several pieces of the frame that had broken off. It doesn't prevent it from being used, but it does open up areas around the cover that can allow water past. I'm sure it can handle a very heavy load, but you can ruin it if you drop it on it's side.You will probably want help lifting it and placing it into position as it weighs around 50 pounds. Not the 'light weight" cover that I was expecting. I do like the recessed handles. Having two of them makes opening and closing the hatch a lot easier. The size and fit was great, I just wish it hadn't arrived in 10 pieces. I wanted to give it three stars, but I gave it four because the build is good and I figure it wasn't damaged BEFORE it left the factory. Still, they could have padded the edges with wood strips to prevent this from happening.

This is a nice manhole cover. It is very heavy and the cover is designed to hold a lot of weight, like a car driving over it. I currently have a round cover, but it’s messed up. Once I cut the asphalt and set this in place, it’ll be good to go. This is a great value compared to other options out there. The only issue I had was the way it was shipped to me. For whatever reason, it was only shipped in a thin, single box, not boxed within a padded box. The result was a cracked corner on the base of the cover. I can repair it and it doesn’t affect the functionality, but it shouldn’t have been delivered to me that way.This is a great cover overall. It is going to work perfectly with our septic tank under the driveway. It’s nice and heavy duty, and not as heavy as street manhole covers, making it much easier to move, especially with the handles. Recommend.

I just got this so I can cover some lines I ran underground in case I need to access the connections some time in the future. The man hole is relatively heavy but not nearly as heavy as city ones and is well built and sturdy.I suggest waiting to get your manhole prior to making your hole so the fit is perfect.Overall I think it’s a great option for the home owner.Until We Meet Again-Off The Grid Ken

This is exactly as advertised. It actually exceeded my expectations. Great option to use to cover septic access or other uses around the farm. It feels completely safe. No issues holding weight like mowers. I did not drive my vehicle over it, but I have no doubt it'd be just fine.It's heavy. I thought it was a metal or pot metal since that's what it feels like. But as I modified it with a high speed diamond grinding saw blade, I was able to cut access for a pipe easily. It's definitely reinforced with steel rods. Description says reinforced fiberglass, but it feels like a crazy tough mix of metal and concrete. Probably some industrial type fiberglass I've never encountered before. Cool stuff.The fit is perfect. The lid sits securely in the rim. You should be able to cover it with dirt (septic) if needed. Otherwise, the lid is not coming off unless you pull the handles and lift it off.Two thumbs up, worth the price! In fact, I could use another one for a doggie septic system in the future.Much heavier duty than I expected. Definitely recommend and the price seems pretty good.

I have a 24-inch culvert (placed vertically) that functions as a small river-side cistern. I made a block surround around it, and this now covers it nicely... certainly more securely than the piece of board that used to be over it. Note that while plastic it is very heavy, as in you can drive a truck over it heavy and it wouldn't flinch. Ideal for any manhole cover-related need.
