I like to tie the smaller flies as the tail water of the San Juan in New Mexico hold trout that feed on very small midge and mayfly, so I chose the 2.0mm mottled mix. Great color mix to really begin tying the smaller Euro jig flies that have become so popular. All six of the mottled colors in the 2.0mm fit well on the size 20-16 hooks and when fished seems to get down in the water quickly enough on lighter 6x and 7x tippet. And the fish seem to enjoy chasing after them.

These tung beads are ligit. I got the mottled dark olive and plan to utilize them for tying cased Caddis patterns which work well here year round. They're slotted so very easy to work around the hook bend and will work for most small-gapped hooks. There are no paint flaws nor chips and none of mine are deformed. The slots on these would also work well for jig hooks but I'll be using straight shanks for the Caddis patterns. I've been tying for decades and can safely recommend these to any tyer looking for a bargain on tung. Great beads!
