I bought this to protect my lower unit skeg and it works perfect. Before buying this, I had recently hit a rock that took a chuck out of my skeg and destroyed the prop. This little cover did the job of covering and protecting the bottom end. It's pretty sturdy and rhe welds look decent.

Bought as my skeg looked like it had been nibbled away by a mouse as a result of the boat predominately having been used in a river and grounded multiple times. This was a perfect fit on a Gen 2 Alpha One outdrive and fitting is dead easy, tap it on with a mallet, drill two holes in the existing skeg and fit the bolts, job done.
