if do little fence work they are fine but if cutting alot of 9ga i wouldnt buy . ok for barbwire and 11 ga wire on fence .

Not a do-all pliers, but a well designed tool to keep handy for all jobs, especially working with fence wire where the wire is thick. Not a great cutter for thicker wire. The pointed nose is the key feature of the tool allowing working with small spaces on smaller problems where leverage is needed.

They seem just as good as the utica pliers. No issues really. My only grip s the teeth are to aggressive, but a few aluminum ties will fill in some of those teeth until they wear down a bit. The head of these pliers are perfect. Some of the knock off heads are to large to reach into tight places or between wire. I'm going to buy several more. I own my own fencing company. These have gone through hell in the 3 months or so that I've had them. The cut wire like I was using bolt cutters. This company really did right trying to recreate the originals.Edit: I've purchased 2 more pairs. 1 went to another guy on my fencing crew. They need a good day to loosen up, and open easier. The teeth also needs a couple days to become less aggressive. They bite into aluminum tie wire causing the tie wire the first few days causing sharp edges that could be a safety concern for a customer. Nit to mention the aluminum that flakes off and can get blown into your eyes. The only short coming is the handle material. It has torn a little on my first pair. I expected this because I use the handles to kink 2 half diamonds to hold the bar in place when hooking up the tension bands. My Utica pliers never had this handle material, and I don't think it is necessary. I do not baby my tools, and these have been great. At this price point, come spring, I may even buy more to make a quick profit when I'm picking up materials from our suppliers.

I did not look closely to the pliers being 10 inch as I'm so used to 8 inch. I did try them but I can see I need to be at least 6'4" minimum as my hands are to small to open them wide enough to use properly and 8 inch is perfect.

Great product and good price. Perfect for fencing, especially when using tie wires. They do have a stamp that says "India" but after using theme almost everyday for fencing, they are very durable.
