So the center part doesn't feel as strong as needed to be seems it will wear out fast opening and closing after time. Light is bright on all aspects, solar charger takes alot of time to change vs the plug in.

I've had a couple of this type for about 8 years..... still working ! The solar charge option is essential.And even though these are new, they are the very same. I cannabalized a couple to use the components to illuminate a few art projects. I had to replace my Emergency lighting. Very glad these are still being produced ! !

Perfect amount of light for early morning getting set up in my deerstand, compact size was good for cargo pants or backpack. Recommended to the rest of my hunting party. Great gift idea for the hunter's in your life
