These J hooks appear to be well built. I got these to use with my current chains. At 15 inches they are more than long enough for my usage. Running with these allows you to attach them at any point on a chain. These are for more than what I needed so I have a safety zone. I definitely recommend these J hooks to anyone that needs to hook onto automobiles.

These seem heavy, well made, & durable.I like the high visibility finish as well.I plan to use them for both tree felling & trailering equipment.I have no way to properly "Load test" them, but I see no obvious reasons they wouldn't hold up to their declared ratings.Once I use them more, I'll update this review accordingly, especially if anything undesirable is noticed.Would recommend!

Ordered this (2) Pack of 15" Heavy Duty J Hooks for Towing - Yellow Zinc Plated Tow J Hook Grade 70 Heat Treated Material for my use in digging trenches. I dig trenches for water, electric, fiber optics, and drainage problems and have a walk behind and ride on machine for digging. Because of type work dealing with digging in the earth, I get stuck often. Part of the time I have to call a tow truck, especially for the ride on one as it weighs over 4,000 Lbs. Recently while shopping online for some caution tape and straps, I saw this (2) pack of large jaw 15" J hooks and reading about how their made and the material and ordered them. Glad I made this choice and wished I had these a few years back.These have a working load of 5,400 LB each and they are stamped for DOT. These are heat treated and made of forged heat treated steel. I connected them to my grade 70 (10ft) chain and now I can pull my ride on machine out with my own truck, no more tow bills. I like the large jaw J style hooks and they fit easily around my axle on machine. I just hook chain to towing ball and pull it out 15-20 ft to good ground and immediately start trenching again. These not only saves me money on calling a tow truck, but saves me time as well. Most of time I can be back digging again within 15-20 minutes.No more waiting on a tow truck. Also like the yellow gold finish zinc plating as that help in preventing rust. Happy with order

These are really heavy duty and should take quite a load.And using 2 of them, doubles the capacity.My winch will pull 12,000 lbs. The 2 of these together are rated for 11,000.I haul dead tractors a lot.I've always had to wrap the chain around the axle and then attach it to itself. Which isn't too much trouble.But it is a hassle, and so I only use one hookup, meaning the tractor usually runs to one side or the other.Using 2 of these is so much easier and better.They're big enough I can just grab the front axle with them and start pulling.And with 2 of them, I can put them on a chain together so the winch can pull directly from the middle so the tractor being pulled will tend to stay straight coming up onto the trailer.Great item

The AODESTINY 15" Heavy Duty J Hooks are large and have wide hook jaws to easily snag vehicle underside frame and axels for towing. These hooks have rounded corners so as not to create dents or deformities in the the frame.In addition, they are good general purpose hooks to snag things that I wish to lift or pull with my Bobcat 863 front-end loader. Because of their wide jaws, when not being used for pulling things, they serve as hooks in my equipment shed to hand up saw horses against a wall to keep them out of the way.
