Really cleans up my installation on older 24V cameras. The cover connecting the camera to adapter does not work with the outdoor rated cable I use; not important for my application because it is in attic.

My setup, POE switch model TL-SG108PE pushing 54v, 200 ft Cat 6 Ethernet Cable 10Gbps. You can see internet is there but browsing is not possible. The specifications say up to 150m over gigabit ethernet. I gave it 2 stars because it does work with shorter cables. I only had a 10ft cable Cat 6 10Gbps so cannot comment if it actually works beyond that. For sure 200 ft is out of the question. Willing to change review if vendor can prove it does work at 492 ft as advertised.UPDATE:The vendor reached out and provided A+ support. Very responsive. Satisfied with the outcome.

Ran Cat6 throughout my house, and have it all networked to a PoE++ switch.Unfortunately, the AP I used for a network bridge only runs on passive (24v) PoE, and I didn't feel like running an outlet to the area where it is mounted.These converters did the trick, allowing me to power the 24v passive PoE AP with my PoE+ switch pushing 48V active PoE through the Cat6.The fact that they are also made/sealed for outdoor use is just a bonus, in my case, but I feel like it also helps secure the connection from dust, debris, and ambient moisture.

Used to power a 24volt access point at the end of a 200 meter cat6 run, with a IP camera and Poe splitter in order to bridge to another building. Works great!

I'm using this to power a TP-LINK CPE510, which needs 24V passive POE, from an 802.3af active POE switch. Works fine, and a cleaner wiring setup than using a 110V passive POE adapter.

I bought to remove 2 power blocks providing passive power to TP-Link EAP 110 outdoor access points. I can now just use the POE ports on th SG-TL2008P I am using in my network. The access point powered up nicely with no problems.
