Two shackles came as pictured, pin screws in as expected. They have a slight polish to them, but if you wanted they could be polished a lot more depending on your use. I am using them on a key ring, just used a small wrench to tighten the pin so it does not come loose.

Website description says that the best use of these small shackles is for leather crafts, belts and similar types of uses. This is an accurate description. These shackles are small and not for heavy use; more for an ornamental use. They are well made, smooth and the crossbar is easily screwed/ unscrewed in the shackle loop.
