The magnets are strong and hold the guide in place well (assuming your machine has a metal base plate)!While I'm sure the use is mostly intuitive, some instructions for new sewers would be appreciated. I would also like it if each size/width was labeled on the pieces for faster reference.

This is one of those things you don't know you need until you get one.It's really helpful as it keeps your fabric lined up perfectly for a straight seam.The price right now is $5 which I think is really reasonable for an excellent gadget.

These are really strong magnets! Even on the edge of my needle plate, they DO NOT BUDGE! These are so extremely useful if you are like me and can't sewna scant 1/4 seam by eye! I'd hive these 6 stars if possible!

The quality of these is okay. The magnet is strong and silicone on the bottom helps it not slip or scratch the machine. However, pay attention to your sewing machine. Many machines these days don't have a metal plate where this would be placed—and if yours doesn't, this won't stick well. There are also multiple different sides to the guide, but no directions on how to use them, so I'm not sure what the different curves and angles could be used for.

What a great little seam guide. Fantastic value for the money. Put it on my machine and the magnet is super strong and it holds down really well. As you're sewing a hem seam, this guides it and stops it from going outside of a certain distance and keeps it at a uniform width. Great bargain and great value.

I watched the videos with this and similar products, and knowing I need to hem some pants soon, I requested an opportunity to try these magnetic seam guides.The videos make it look so easy, but I'm having a little more trouble using them in my reality. The guides help keep the fabric folded and measured as the stitches run, but sadly my end result is not nearly as good as those in the video.The guides themselves are exactly as advertised. I am looking forward to a little more practice so I can make them work for me as well as they do in the video.

Works well with our Brother CS machine. We had an older Singer that worked as well, it clamps on the Singer machine more strongly because there is more metal. On the less expensive Brother machines they have a plastic plate but there is enough metal that you can still place it anywhere, just a little less secure.
