These are perfect for my new sourdough addiction! They are heat safe up to 500+ degrees! Haven’t had an issue as sourdough cooks at that temp!

These silicone bread slings are a great addition to my baking tools. They make it so much easier to lift bread in and out of the Dutch oven, and the non-stick surface works well. Cleanup is a breeze, and I love that they’re reusable. My only minor issue is that they’re a bit smaller than I expected, so they don’t fit larger loaves as easily. Overall, they’re a practical and useful tool for home bakers!

I was concerned after reading the other reviews, yet I don't like using parchment paper to get the bread into my Dutch oven. These slings are excellent at that. So, I compromised. I cut parchment the size of the Dutch oven and put the bread on it, then set it on the sling. I use the sling to get it into the Dutch oven, and out of the Dutch oven. At first, I wasn't sure what to do with the ends - the lid wouldn't be tight if they were outside. So, I folded them over the bread and hoped that they wouldn't interfere with the oven spring. YAY - the ends are fine there and did not interfere with the rise of the bread in the pan.For me, this was a good solution - I get the benefits of the sling without worrying about other aspects of it.

I was reluctant to purchase them, not knowing how and if they would work. I am glad I got them; the bread not only does not stick to the bottom of the pan, but to take it out of the pan is a breeze.I used it with the oven at 450 degrees.

I still have to use parchment paper because my dough stuck to the side of my dutch oven. But it was still much easier to get out with the silicone sling. No more trying to grab the crumbling burnt edges of the parchment paper!

No more worries about parchment paper tearing as I remove my bread from the Dutch oven. And easy clean.
