I got these to replace a broken tailgate part and compare to a different set, just to see if they were any different and short answer is, slightly yes. They look like the plastic is ever so slightly thinner than the other brand, which claimed to be 'heavy duty.' However, they look just like the OEM part, which is exactly what they claim to be. Decent value for the money, more expensive than some, less than others. Installation took me less than a minute, and after the tailgate functioned just like it was brand new. Unfortunately, this just seems like a part that will have to likely be replaced more than once if you drop your tailgate/use your truck bed for work (really due to the Tacoma design, rather than manufacture quality). It's nice they came with two, so when the inevitable time comes I'll have an extra to replace again. Fits and functions just like the original. Durability seems like OEM part, long-term not sure if these will be any stronger, but again you get 2, so hopefully that will last for a bit. Pictures show where the old part broke and new one was installed, as well as side by side comparison to other competitor. I couldn't find the caliper to actually measure if they are any different, but again, they look just ever so slightly thinner than one that was branded 'heavy duty.' At the end of the day it's such a small difference, and this part is so prone to breaking that I don't think it ultimately matters; if it's going to get broken, it's going to get broken. All around decent, nice to have spares.

Broken before I tried to install, that’s why they give you two. Super poor quality!

Installation is simple and this bushing fits just like that factory bushing. These wear out over time but can quickly be replaced by tilting your tailgate at a 45° angle and lifting it out. The new bushing slides into place. Enjoy!
