They don't mulch any more than normal blades. I was a bit dissappointed. They cut well though.

Best cut yet. I sharpened to my liking. Quiet and smooth cut. Grownd up my berry clippings to fines! Easy to install. Hold it up into star pattern to get it set tight! Very good quality. Very thick like original that hit 2 inch rocks! 00PS johndeere S110. Hummzalong now. Not clogging mulch cover and deck!

I have an S130 John Deere and bought the “mulching” blades from Lowes that they recommended for my mower and they were garbage compared to these. These cut smooth and even. Very very satisfied. Also, they don’t throw grass out from under the deck like the others did. even though I have the mulch plug on, the OEM blades would throw grass from underneath the deck and sometimes into my mulch. these don’t do that. These chop up grass really throughly.Now as far as sturdiness, only time will tell.Thickness seems to be fine. Equally as thick as any other blades.They installed just like any other blade too.Very pleased with this purchase.

They fit perfect and were easy to put on. Although putting them on depends on your own knowledge of your mower deck. They cut very nice price was good.

A nice heavy blade, heavier than the OEM blades that came with my JD S120 tractor.I added a plug to make this a true mulching system and it works pretty good. You have to mow more frequently since high grass tends to leave clumps.Some people complained that they were not sharp enough but I found them to be fine. You can put a razor edge on a mower blade but it won't last long and it isn't necessary.

I first have to say that 5 stars for easy to install is only if you have experience installing blades on John Deere mower decks. If not I'd leave it for a service person to do for you. I've been cutting 5 acres for years with John Deere mowers and so am used to installing them. I've used these blades before and the grooves cut into the ends of them are there to lift the grass or leaves up and do a great job cutting in my experience with them. They are much cheaper online at Amazon than going into a Home Depot or Lowe's for the same blades. I've hit some heavy-duty downed limbs from trees with these blades and have never had them bend. What wears them out is where I live in NJ the soil is very sandy underneath the grass and just sandblasts the blades to nothing after a couple of years of use. I wouldn't hesitate to buy them if you're looking to especially mulch leaves in the fall.
