This LinksTek PCIE-U302A 2-Ports PCI Express USB 3.0 (USB 3.1 GEN1) Type A 5Gbps USB expansion card is based on ASMedia ASM1042 USB 3.0 (USB 3.1 GEN1) host controller. It is designed on PCI Express version 2.0 standard, PCIE X1 interface, will provide 5Gbps total bandwidth for 2X USB-A ports. It will allow desktop PCs or working stations add 2X 5Gbps max USB 3.0 (USB 3.1 GEN1) type A ports for USB devices data transmission which include USB HDD/SSD enclosure, USB universal docking station, USB Hub, USB KVM switch, VR-System, USB graphic adapters and more. Built in LinksTek Smart Power Distribution Technology, allow USB card get 5V/2A 10W power on each port. Make sure connected USB device works on 5Gbps max speed. PCIE-U302A also reserved the SATA power supply option, will make sure it works on some old type motherboard which cannot provide enough power by PCIE slot.

LinksTek Smart Power Distribution Technology is a new solution to provide more power supply on PCIE USB Cards. The previous versions of PCIE USB card need to plug an external power cable from PSU. PCIE device can get 75W(12V/6.25A) max power from motherboard. LinksTek added 2X voltage transformer on USB card, pick up 12V/2A from motherboard and transfer to 5V/4A. Each USB port will get 5V/2A 10W max power for connected USB device. Apart from this, LinksTek Smart Power Distribution Technology built 2X Safety Fuse, 2X voltage stable capacitor and 2X current stable inductance on USB Ports will makes sure users never burn USB device.
Second Power Option for Old Type Motherboard: LinksTek also add 1X 15 PIN SATA Power Connector on the USB card to help some old type Motherboard that can not provide enough power from PCIE slot.

1 cpu 1.0. 1 cpu 2.0. Both cpu's now 3.0. Increased speed performance from Nighthawk AXE3000. Follow instructions, if not working the first time. Reposition.

Segui las instrucciones, al principio si reconoció los discos Huros que le conectaba, funcionaron todos lo puestos, pero en medida que lo usaba de repente ya no los reconocio en el administrador de dispositivos ya no me eaprecia el controlador, lo reinstabala funcionaa y luedo ya no lo reconocía, termine por desinstalarlo y comprar un concentrador usb con esntrada usb 2.0, no es un buen producto

This is a review for the 4-port USB-C card. I bought a new PC (HP Victus 15L, Windows 11) which came with plenty of USB-A ports but only a single front-mounted USB-C. It had one internal card slot so I bought this card. It worked perfectly. No drivers to install.The only issue I have is that my iPads seem to see it as some sort of external device trying to connect to them. It refuses that connection and won't even let me charge them using this card. I think that's more of an Apple thing. Everything else, like my Nikon camera, charges fine. I really bought it for connectivity, not charging. It works perfectly for that.Before you buy, make sure your computer has the correct internal slot for this card. It's a pretty universal connection. But if your computer doesn't have one, it won't magically work.

Got this so I could plug in an external usb c ssd, but the adapter does not recognize the drive. It's useless for pretty much everything you would want to do with it. Only thing I have plugged into it that actually works is a monitor light, can't even use it to charge my iPhone.

USB 3.0 speeds and 2A of power output - what's not to love? I added small touch screen monitors to my desktop and put them on this card to keep the power draw low on the ports on my motherboard since it doesn't specify how much power they can output. Cheap insurance.

I was able to see my iphone data when I plugged it in to one of the usbc ports but DOES NOT work with Yubikey, which was my original intent when I ordered this item. Ended up getting a female usbc to usba adapter for $10 and that worked.

All right but doesn't seem to power all of the ports. One of them does not work. That is after I connected a power cable to the card as it did not power sufficiently from the PCI slot alone.

I had read some of the other reviews that mentioned it was a bit tricky to setup. Sure enough, when I first installed it, the PC would not power up at all. It was behaving as if there was a bus short. I ended up having to re-seat the card three times before the PC would power. It might have been me, it was probably me, but honestly I've never had that happen before when placing a card.I am using the optional power cable plug-in. I've got at least one device that wants a bit more power than can be delivered over the PCI bus.I am running Windows 11. The card was recognized immediately and did not require any other driver installation.So at this point, it is working great. Really good value for money.

I tried 2 other brands of the cheaper boards. The first didn't work at all. The second worked but my computer would not start up if I had anything plugged into it. This one worked great and I have no problem starting my computer with multiple usb external drives attached. Has good speed for transferring files. It costs a little more but it works.
