This is a really nice server. The bowls are large, 8.9" and 11" and are light-weight which makes me think they are cold cast ceramic. But they are finished nicely and sit securely on the metal stand. Set up on a table, there's no sense that it will easily tip over. The stand is not folding but it is easily assembled and disassembled to store flat - you just push the ends into each other. Recommended
