Come w/Ground Wire Attached
Instructions:
1). If the Black Ground Wire is Not Already Connected to the CDI Box, Fasten to One of the 4 Mounting Holes on the Outside of the Box.
2). Fasten the Other End of This Black Wire to a Good Ground Spot on the Engine.
3). If the Engine Uses an Orange Colored Lead That is Connected to the Box, Connect This to the " Black/Yellow" Stud on the New Box.

i bought these to avoid springing 300 each for replacing cdi boxes on my merc. There seemed to be issues right away. Had a cylinder hyper firing...only one cylinder...so I put originals back on and returned these. Seller was good in all this. Had replacements sent right out...they now live on top of my tool box for just in case

Bought as a set , would not fire , added a known good switchbox, got the engine to run on 3 cyl. One box only puts out 35v The other puts out 96vNeeds to be greater than 200v using an rm stator lead on your test set! Wish they would test these before sending them out, would save alot of time and hassle.

Works well but you must replace both to prevent premature failure. I have never had a failure with this product. Get a good diagnosis before throwing parts at a problem. Save yourself time, trouble, and money. Could be a trigger or a stator.By a MARINE ENGINE TECHNICIAN

I dropped a cylinder while going across the lake and 9 times out of 10 it is one of the switch boxes. I ordered these bad boys, replaced both of mine (always replace both while you in there), took my boat to the lake and she was firing on all 6 again! I will update this post if anything happens in the short-term, but so far, awesome buy and deal!

Liked how they were clear so you can see the works. Worked great for me. Only had one go bad yet for that price I put both new. Also replaced the trigger.
